How to pack into one suitcase?
Beautiful weather, i.e. sunny days with a gentle soothing wind, can only mean one thing – the holiday season has begun. Tickets purchased, but one question remains – How to pack into one suitcase? What to bring? Do I really need an extra pair of shoes?
Basic packing – suitcase
A suitcase is the basis of every trip and every packing before departure. Of course, there are substitutes like travel bags or durable backpacks, but suitcases are the most comfortable and can usually hold the most clothes and things we need. When it comes to the size of the suitcase, we suggest minimalism – the smaller the better, why? Because:
- we have to choose only those clothes that we will definitely wear
- smaller suitcase means less weight and more travel comfort
- the smaller the luggage, the easier it will be to move around by public means of transport (trains, buses, trams)
HOW TO CHOOSE CLOTHES FOR HOLIDAY?
If we choose smaller luggage, we have to pack less clothes, which means that we have a difficult choice. First of all, let’s choose universal clothes that can be combined with each other to create different styles. It is also worth having clothes made of fabrics that crease less. It is worth paying attention not to take new clothes with you – shoes can rub, and the dress can be uncomfortable – it is worth betting on proven sets of clothes
“Standard” bundle
As a basis, we propose:
- 5 t-shirts or tops – they get dirty the fastest, so it’s worth taking a little more of them
- 2 pairs of shorts, shorts or skirts – in warm weather, it’s worth having something with a length up to / above the knee
- Long trousers – they will always work with more elegant, but also loose stylizations
- 1-2 Dresses – one for every day and the other for a night out
- Flip-flops – very versatile as a replacement for sandals or for free walking around the hotel
- Comfortable shoes with a flat sole – definitely the best choice for long journeys or sightseeing
- Light jacket or sweatshirt – always useful on cold days
Going to the water
Sunny beaches, sunbathing and beautiful sunsets are the dreams of every person going on holiday to the sea or lake, so it’s worth taking swimsuit – this is the basis of beach styling. The holiday look will be complemented by sandals – which are hit this summer. Basket bag will be a great addition to seaside stylizations, it will work both in everyday stylizations and for elegant evening walks. The weather can play tricks, so when going to the water, be sure to take warmer clothes, shoes and an umbrella with you in case of rain. We recommend taking a warmer sweater or thin coat.
Going to the mountains
Fresh air, beautiful landscape views, wonderful mountain trails are the fulfillment of every mountain lover. If you intend to go on mountain trails, it is worth having trekking shoes. However, if it is a more leisure trip, it is worth having a pair of shoes on a flat sole. Here jacket or coat is the basis – in the mountains you never know what weather you may encounter. It’s worth dressing like an onion, you won’t overheat or get cold. It is also worth taking a comfortable sweatshirt – it will be useful in many situations and will match most styles.

What’s the best way to pack?
At the very beginning, prepare a list of what you need to take with you. There are many ways that make it easier to create a so-called “checklist”. You can even use a smartphone that you always have with you. Open a notebook and write down the things you would like to take with you on vacation. Already at the very stage of preparing the list, you will see how many things you can give up when packing. Remember that in addition to clothes, you should also pack cosmetics and hygiene products. Also, don’t forget about a small first aid kit. It also takes up some space. Never pack in installments – by doing it all at once, you can save more time. When packing a suitcase, put all your things in one place first – thanks to this you can realistically assess whether all the planned things will fit.
There is also no point in going to extremes, the most important thing is to feel comfortable on vacation. If you feel better with one more pair of pants, pack it. It’s best to keep a balance and not overdo it in any direction.
